Palazzo
Comunale : Situated in Piazza Le Scalelle, this building features a large open
gallery supported by pillars. Old units of measurement used in agricultural and commercial
exchanges can still be found above one of these pillars. The façade of the building
features the Torriani familys coat-of-arms.Palazzo Fabbroni : On the
opposite side from the Palazzo Comunale, this building features three series of large
windows finished in stone. In the centre of the façade, the Fabbroni coat-of-arms
can be clearly seen.
Chiesa del Suffragio : To the side of Palazzo Fabbroni , this church has
a sloping façade, and inside it there are numerous 17th-century hallmarks.
Palazzo Cannone (15th-16th-century): Closing off the Piazza delle Scalelle,
this building features three series of large windows finished in stone. Today, it is used
as a restaurant.
Oratorio della misericordia : This oratory is located in the Piazza "di
Sotto" (Via Angelo Fabbroni) and is held aloft by a tower, to the rear of the Chiesa
del Suffragio, and contains paintings and other sacred objects.
Palazzo Torriani : There is a large familial coat-of-arms on the front of this
building. Inside, there are some frescoes by Galileo Chini.
Monastero delle Domenicane della SS. Annunziata : Built in 1575 by the Fabbroni
family, it has been restored several times. It features a courtyard with a well at its
center, a gallery on pillars, a large garden (belonging to the nuns) that is surrounded by
walls and closed off by a tower .
Badia del Borgo : Built around the 11th century, this is one of the most
important abbeys in the area. In the sacristy, there are several beautiful paintings: Virgin
with Child and Saints, St. Reparata, Madonna della Misericordia, St. Giovanni
Gualberto, St. Sebastian.
